How adorable is this Cricut Owl fabric applique? I made this cute owl SVG free so that you can also make one. And today is the day I teach you How To Make A Fabric Appliqué with this cute Cricut owl.
You can use this Cricut owl in so many creative projects. In this tutorial, I use this cute, free Owl SVG to make iron-on patches for a baby shirt.
This owl SVG is a perfect stand-alone, but is also fantastic with other design elements too! It would even be amazing with Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer sheets, or print it and let the kiddos color it in with Infuusible Ink Markers!
What Can I Use The Cricut Owl SVG On?
The possibilities are pretty endless. I love using fat quarters to make these patches. But this owl vector can easily be cut out of vinyl too. Or pull out the scoring stylus, some adhesive foam dots, and some card stock and make a card. There are so many possibilities!
For best results, the small dots around the eyes of this owl Cricut design should be done using vinyl.
Cricut EasyPress 2
I love that my Cricut maker cuts virtually any fabric and that Cricut design space makes doing something like cutting fabric and creating appliques such as this one super easy!
It gives you heat press or professional iron results in 60 seconds or less with its advanced heating plate design, the ceramic-coated surface makes for an edge-to-edge heat.
Then there is the safety base which protects the base and your hands from burns and also the Cricut EasyPress 2 has an auto-shutoff feature, that shuts it down after 10 minutes of inactive.
The fun thing about this free cute owl SVG file is that it works with all cutting machines. The digital download includes you, in the folder SVG, DXF file, PNG files, and EPS. They will come to you in a zip file once you enter your name and email address in the form below.
EasyPress 2: How To Make A Fabric Appliqué With Your Cricut Owl SVG
I love to use the Cricut brand of heat transfer vinyl on all of my projects using heat transfer vinyl. And If you are on the fence about the EasyPress, I promise you it is the perfect complement to Cricut Machine.
There are both time and temperature settings up to 400 degrees. It gives fast and foolproof results and more importantly it is portable & easy to store.
Adorable Cricut Owl Appliqué
So I got the idea for this super cute owl because I saw some fat quarters that had these really cute owls on them. And since I know that my Cricut Maker cuts hundreds of materials I knew it would have no issue cutting these.
And working with the heat and bond was super easy for this DIY project with the Cricut EasyPress 2.
I can think of so many places where I can use fabric appliques. If you have a sewing machine, although it isn’t necessary you can stitch around your applique and give it a little added touch of something unique.
