If you are wanting to learn how to do a full sublimation tumbler wrap then you are in the right place. In this video tutorial, you will learn how to use an Air Fryer, or you can also use a convection oven to make your own stainless steel tumbler.

We had an old Air Fryer that was a space guzzler, so I took it to the craft room to use for my skinny sublimation tumblers. It worked out perfectly for using sublimation transfers on cups.

How do you wrap a sublimation tumbler?

Sublimation mugs and tumblers should be wrapped and taped tightly. To make sure my wraps are tight I like to tape tightly with heat resistant tape and then use a shrink wrap sleeve to make the transfer fit as tight as possible.

What is the best way to sublimate tumblers?

I don’t think there is the best way, to sublimate tumblers as far as heat elements. I have used my Air Fryer, A Tumbler press, and even the Cricut Mug Press to sub on blank tumblers. The Cricut mug press is a little more work but it does get the job done.

When I use the Cricut Mug Press to sublimate, I do use a heat gun on my shrink wrap, but when I use the Air Fryer I just slide it on and then put it into the fryer for sublimation printing. The heat will shrink it.

How do you stop Ghosting sublimation tumblers?

To help prevent ghosting on your design, you have to make sure that your printed sublimation sheet doesn’t move. Whether you are using ceramic mugs, skinny straight sublimation tumblers, t-shirts, or something else, you need to make sure that your wrap is completely secure.

Do you seal sublimation tumblers?

No, no need to seal any type of sublimation blank. They have a special coating on them, so as long as you use the correct time and temp instructions for the specific sublimation blank that you are using then the design will last forever!

Can I Use Cricut Infusible Ink on a blank sublimation tumbler?

You sure can. Infusible Ink is a pre-printed sublimation sheet (the infusible ink transfer sheet) or markers. So if you don’t have a sublimation printer then this is the perfect solution for you.

Lastly, whatever you use for your designs, you want to make sure that they are png files. And also make sure that it is a transparent template.
