Materials
- Embroidery floss
- Cardstock pape
Tools
- Scissors
- Earring hooks
- Jump ring
- Memory wire
- Flat nose pliers
Instructions
- Select an embroidery floss as your choice and cut 14 inches long strand (you can cut a longer piece of strand if you want longer and thicker tassel). Cut another 3 inches long strand. Decide a length for the tassel and cut a cardstock paper as per the required length and keep 3 or 4 inches on the other sides of the cardstock paper.
- Grab the long floss strand and wrap it around the cardstock cutout (around the shorter sides). Wrap the entire embroidery floss around the cardstock paper.
- Insert the 3 inches strand through the wrapped floss loop, on either side of the cardstock piece.
- Use the inserted 3 inches strand to tie a tight knot around the wrapped floss loop. Make sure to tie 2 tight knots.
- Cut the other end of the wrapped floss (opposite to the tied side) and take the floss out of the cardstock piece.
- Cut a piece of memory wire (4 or 5 inches will do). Flatten the open ends of the tassel strands along with the open ends of the tied 3 inches floss and then wrap the memory wire around the strands right below the tied part.
- Use scissors to trim the open ends of the strands to level them nicely. Grab a jump ring and an earring hook.
- Attach the jump ring through the tied floss (created with the 3 inches floss). Now attach the earring hook through the jump ring to complete the earring. Similarly, craft the other earring to complete the pair.
