We all knew that with the Cricut you could make your own stickers, but did you know that you can also make your own folders?

A great way to personalize these planner pockets, even more, is by using washi tape, and adding Happy planner stickers, you can even add adhesive vinyl to the cardstock after cutting them.

Planner pocket folders are great for holding all of those free printable stickers, meal planner pages, or even business cards. There are lots of DIY planner printables out there, I am working on my own also, so keep an eye out for them.

How do I make a paper folder at home?

Folders, in general, are pretty easy to make yourself. For these folders, all you need is a Cricut machine, some pretty paper, and a glue pen.

If you download my free DIY planner pocket folder you will get both DFX and SVG files. You will need to follow the directions closely to get the score lies correct. How To Make A Happy Planner Folder With Cricut

Materials

  • EK Success 2-Way Chisel Tip Glue Pen
  • Double-Sided Card Stock Pack
  • happy planner Cricut template free SVG file
  • Cutting Mat

Tools

  • Cricut Machine
  • Scoring Wheel

Instructions

  1. Unzip the Happy planner Cricut template, free planner pocket inserts.
  2. Upload the file type you need to Cricut Design Space or if you are using a Silhouette Cameo grab the Silhouette files. and load into Silhouette Studio.
  3. In the design, you should now have 1 flat insert and 5 double-sided folder pockets.
  4. All of the straight lines should be changed to a scoreline.
  5. If you want more inserts duplicate the flat insert layer.
  6. Cut and score all sheets using the cardstock setting and following the prompts on the screen.
  7. When they are done cutting, fold along the scoreline, and using the glue pen, place the glue on the side that faces up. 
  8. Now place the other side to it creating a pocket.
  9. Slide in the flat insert.
