Instructions
- Select a fabric of your choice and trace the template patterns on it. Or you can simply keep the ratio of the patterns from the template and use a ruler to draw your own pattern. The big square will be used to make the bow and the small square will be used for the middle part of the bow.
- Fold the big square into half (fold its longer side) and fold the small square into half (fold its shorter side).
- Sew along any 2 open ends of the folded big square and keep the 3rd end open. Sew along the longer open side of the small square and keeping the 2 small ends open.
- Turn out the right sides of both sewed pieces through their open ends.
- Notice the open side of the big square, fold about 1 cm of it inside and then sew along folds to close the opening.
- The fabrics are ready to make the bow.
- Grab the big fabric and make small and even accordion folds in the middle of it. Use a needle and thread to stitch the folded middle part to secure it.
- Place the small fabric piece in the middle of the bow pattern, covering the stitched part.
- Wrap the small fabric strip around the middle part of the bow pattern and bring the closed ends to any one side. Use needle and thread to stitch the open ends of the strip; once you’re done stitching, tie a knot or two and then cut off extra thread.
You can now use this fabric bow to make lots of other crafts.
