I had some time on my hands lately so I decided to make a fun DIY metal farmhouse sign to add to my entryway. Super simple and really fun to make, I just pulled together some leftover craft supplies I had and made, well, a cute sign!

Seriously, I just kind of dug around and found a leftover sign from Christmas, some flowers I had from another project and some paint I made a cute DIY farmhouse wreath with and magic happened.

Pretty much everything came from the dollar store or my local craft store, so there wasn’t a lot of money spent at all.

Which makes for an awesome craft, if you ask me.

What’s more, though is that there is a little bit of a birds nest vibe I added on this cute metal farmhouse sign that really brings a little spring flavor to the craft.

I mean, it’s not a straight-up birds nest, for sure, but the vibe is there and that’s what I was looking for.

And then the little blue flowers. Those are just too cute. We thought about painting them to be more like the turquoise background and even experimented with some nail polish in the right color and all that.

To be honest, I decided I really liked that touch of dark blue. Really made the whole sign look more aged.

How to Make a Metal Farmhouse Sign

I recommend that the first thing you do is look around your existing craft stash. See if you have any goodies that you can make this awesome sign with.

Once you have your goodies together, or you know where your holes are, you can kind of go from there.

If there are a few supplies for this project you still need, as I said before, do not despair! Most of what I used came from the local dollar store. I also grabbed some things at the craft store.

Anyway, just popping out to the craft store and dollar store seems like a doable thing. You know, if you feel like you need the flowers. LOL!
