Seriously, I plan to box these pretty Cricut red truck tags up at the end of Christmas. I can see it now, with me trying to gather these tags off the paper as the kids are unwrapping gifts–but I’ll do it!

And then, next year, I can break out these gift tags and the kids will be so proud.

I’ve even thought about making these pretty tags into a banner, because the free SVG file is so cute. I mean, really.

And don’t get twisted if you want to make these but you don’t have a cutting machine. The tags can be printed–in color and in black and white.

How to Make Vintage Red Truck Christmas Tags

For Cutting Machines

Start by downloading and unzipping the appropriate files, then loading the tags cut file into Cricut Design Space. Set your machine to cut the type of cardstock you’re using and then load the machine and cut.

With the glue pen or dot roller, affix the tree to the tag, then pop a piece of foam adhesive to the back of the truck and place it over the Christmas tree. Tie the ribbon on and place your new tag on your holiday gifts!

For Printable

Start by downloading and unzipping the appropriate files. Print the jpg on white paper then cut around the tags. Use a hole punch to punch the holes. Tie the ribbon on and place your new tag on your wrapping paper!

What Can You Use These Gift Tags for Other Than Just Gift Tags?

Materials

Cardstock

  • Red
  • Green
  • Color or pattern of your choice
  • Foam Adhesive
  • Glue dots or pen
  • Ribbon
  • (for the printable version, you will print on white cardstock)

Instructions

For Cutting Machines

  1. Unzip and download the appropriate files.
  2. Load the Tags cut file into Cricut Design Space.
  3. Set the machine to cut the type of cardstock you are cutting.
  4. Load the machine and cut out your Tag Pieces.
  5. Using glue pen, or dot roller, glue the tree to the tag.
  6. Then attach a piece of the foam adhesive to the back of the truck and layer over the tree.
  7. For Printable

  1. Download and unzip the files.
  2. Print on white paper.
  3. Cut around the tags.
  4. Use a hole punch to punch the holes.
  5. Follow stems

To Tie The Ribbon

  1. Fold the ribbon in half and insert it into the hole of the tag.
  2. Create a slip knot by sticking your fingers through the loop.
  3. And pulling the loose ends through to the other side.
  4. Tie the tag onto your gifts.
