There are so many different types and brands of sticker paper that you can buy. But, which is the best sticker paper to use?

It can be a bit overwhelming when you get to the craft store or when you are shopping on Amazon because there are so many options.

I have been printing stickers with my Cricut cutting machine for a long time now, and I have tested so many different kinds. Now, I want to share everything I have learned with you.

After reading this blog post, you will know what is the best Cricut sticker paper to use for your projects and crafts.

Print stickers onto sticker paper with a cutting machine.

When you are buying your sticker paper, you need to look for:

  • high-quality paper (the cheap ones won’t cut very well and can fade over time)
  • paper that works with your printer or cutting machine
  • stickers that have good quality adhesion (so that they actually work as stickers)

If you buy cheap sticker paper, you will regret it. They won’t cut properly which can result in wasted materials. It’s also really common for the cheap ones to smudge ink, or even for the ink to fade over time.

When you are shopping, you might also notice that there are several different finishes. These are the most popular finishes you will see.

  • matte
  • glossy
  • clear or transparent
  • paperlike

Why Should I Print My Own Stickers?

Now, you might be wondering, why would I print my own stickers?

You can do so many cool things with your own stickers. You can make your own planner stickers if you like to use planners and journals. Stickers are also useful for DIY projects and crafts.

You can add stickers to:

  • your scrapbooks
  • mugs
  • water bottles
  • candles
  • homemade signs
  • laptops
  • notebooks
  • cellphone cases
  • picture frames

You can also make bumper stickers or car decals for your vehicle.

As I said the possibilities are endless!

What type of sticker is most durable?

Vinyl stickers are much more durable than paper stickers. Paper stickers are prone to tearing and fading over time. There are multiple suggestions below that are vinyl stickers.

Can a regular printer print on sticker paper?

You can print your own stickers at home using either an inkjet printer or a laser printer.

But, if you don’t also use a cutting machine, then you will have to cut your stickers out by hand. If you want precision cutting with your stickers, then I recommend using a Cricut or Silhouette machine.

Now, let’s look at the different types of sticker paper I have tested and which ones I recommend to you.

#1 – Silhouette Clear Sticker Paper

If you want transparent stickers, then you can’t go wrong with the clear sticker paper made by Silhouette. This is my favorite type to use!

It makes high-quality stickers, and the adhesive is good and strong so it won’t fall off anything you put it on.

This sticker paper is also one of the best you can buy. It is very similar to the sticker paper mentioned above, but the finish is a white paper background instead of a clear background.

If you want to use Cricut brand sticker paper with your Cricut machine, then these are great options. You get 12 sheets in these packs, and they have a white sticker paper finish.
