Michael’s Stores came out with the Simply Tidy storage a few years ago as a craft room solution for your craft supplies.
The storage has very easy assembly, is of excellent quality and Simply Tidy Products makes it so simple to create your dream storage space.
Each individual piece comes with its own assembly instructions, all of the hardware, pre-drilled holes, and is also finished on both the front and back.
I love the size of Michael’s Simply Tidy Modular System. The width is 16 inches. With that width, you can store a whole lot of craft paper.
The great price and good quality also make it the perfect storage solution for small homes and the fact that the pieces are smaller you don’t have to worry about lifting and moving heavier items.
Michael’s Simply Tidy Modular System is made of covered particle board. So if you are looking for an easy way to store all of your crafting supplies, or art supplies Michael’s Simply Tidy Modular System is a great product to optimize your craft or office storage space.
Simply Tidy Modular Panel Cube
This wooden storage cube is a great storage box option with an adjustable shelf. The simply tidy modular cube features 1 movable shelf with 3 optional positions and additional hardware for combining the modular furniture.

- 14.9″ x 14.7″ x 0.4″ ( 37.8cm x 37.3cm x 1cm) shelf size

Modular Half Cube
I used these half cubes on top of the mobile chest to make them the same height as 2 cubes put together. The Michael’s Simply Tidy Half Cube is the perfect size for small items. The small size of this craft storage cube does not take away from the great quality of the wooden cube.

Modular Mobile Chest
The Michael’s Simply Tidy Modular Mobile Chest is the lines drawer cart. This rolling cart is perfect to store many things. In mine, I add things like important documents, receipts, pencils, and extra cords.

This Michael’s Simply Tidy Modular Mobile Panel Tower is an amazing storage container for card stock, flat vinyl, and more. You can add additional modular panel shelves.

Modular X Mobile Divider Insert
This is a great cube divider with 4 triangular sections, I like to add my rolls of vinyl or other things that come in rolls for easy access.

- Maximum 6.6 lb. (3 kg) load limit per shelf
Pegboard Door
This door is a great addition to the modular cube. It creates a “door” that is held closed with a magnet and also comes with pegs.

Simply Tidy Wheels
These are extra wheels. The cubes don’t come with wheels but do have predrilled holes for you to add them.

The tower can be built using the Ikea Cubes however in addition to the $54 you will pay for 2 cubes you will also have to shell out $92.75 for the stamp and storage paper holder making it cost more than the Michael’s Simply Tidy Tower.
In addition, Ikea doesn’t have a pegboard but they do have other things you can add to their cubes to make it more functional craft storage.
All in all in a side-by-side comparison, Michael’s has way more options and is built specifically for your craft space.
