I recently had the brilliant idea for Infusible Ink on DIY Apple Watch Bands. And after I did mine all I could think was I have to show them how to customize the Apple watch band with Cricut Infusible Ink too!

DIY Apple Watch Bands with Cricut Infusible Ink Sheets is a great way to get a lot of watch bands cheap. For these Cricut apple watch bands, I like to use up my Infusible ink transfer sheet scraps or you can cut the infusible ink sheets with a pair of scissors.

This is a great product to sell if you sell on Etsy or at local craft fairs. In its growing list of compatible products, Cricut doesn’t have an Apple Watch band. However, there are tons of other compatible products to use for Cricut blanks.

What Are Cricut Infusible Ink Products?

Cricut Infusible Ink infuses a color, pattern or design onto a poly blend fabric or a specially coated blank. As a result, you get infused ink that lasts forever and will never crack fade or peel if done properly.

Cricut Infusible Ink Transfers are designed to work in the same way that sublimation works. It doesn’t flake, peel or crack in the way that other methods like heat transfer vinyl can once your artwork is attached.

Why does my Infusible Ink Transfer look faded?

This is called ghosting. It usually means that in that area your Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer was not completely attached to your base design. Next time double check to make sure that there are no bubbles or gaps.

There are blue specks on my Cricut Infusible Ink Project.

These blue specks are lint and debris, make sure you are using a lint roller prior to attaching your design.

I am always looking for unique watch bands and the Cricut Infusible Ink heat transfers come in so many different patterns and a variety of solid colors too. In other words, you can have a DIY Apple watch band to match everything.

Firstly, you should use a lint roller to remove any lint or debris that may be on your DIY Apple watch band. Now, flatten out your infusible ink on top of your base design use heat tape to tape it down securely so that it’s attached to the top of your base material.

Make sure all parts of the watch band are pressed to the infusible ink transfer. If you don’t make sure everything is pressed, you will end up with ghosting. After you have taped everything down, cut around the transfer sheet, next.

You don’t want to waste this entire sheet for a single watchband. You should be able to get a few projects out of 1 sheet.

To clarify, the great thing about this infusible ink project is there is no need for a Cricut Joy or Cricut Maker. There is also no need, to mirror your design, you don’t even need to add adhesive to the infusible ink. You can also use either a heat press or EasyPress 2 to press on the Cricut Infusible Ink.

You can find other blanks too, there are so many different kinds and they will all work with Cricut Infusible Ink.

  1. Hi! I’m planning on trying this soon – the band came out so cute! The link for the band you used isn’t working, is there a certain material the band needs to be for this to work?
