Materials

  • Cricut Infusible Ink

Tools

  • Cricut Joy
  • Cricut Mug Press

Instructions

  1. When Design Space opens search for the Mug Design set up. Make sure you choose the 1 for the mug size you will be using.
  2. Unlock the mug wrap that is there and reduce the size by half so that it only fits half of the template.
  3. Now duplicate the half of mug wrap from step 2.
  4. Recolor 1 of them so that you can clearly see that you have 2 colors/designs that you are using.
  5. Click on images and find an image that you want to use.
  6. Place the image in the way that you want it to be on your finished project.
  7. Align your images if you have more than 1 so that they all end up laying in the same spot on the mug wrap. Now weld them all together.
  8. Now Duplicate the image. You want to have 2 of the exact same image, the exact same size so that you can keep them aligned.
  9. Reposition them so they are exactly where you want them. Now select 1 image without moving it and 1 half of the mug wrap. And select slice in the bottom right corner of Cricut Design Space.
  10. Delete all unneeded layers and repeat with the other pieces. When you are satisfied click make it.
  11. Design space will separate the design by color.
  12. I was making 3 of the same cup so I just put both on 1 mat to save time. Once you have your mats set up click on continue and cut using the Cricut Infusible Ink Setting.
  13. Once your sheets are done cutting, weed them using your fingers. Remove all of the areas you do not want to show on your mug.
  14. Now place 2 halves of opposite Cricut infusible ink transfers together.
  15. It should look something like this. Get the seams as close together as possible.
  16. Place the wrap on the mug, making it as tight as possible.
  17. Run your hand around it to double-check that there is no air underneath.
  18. Place the mug down into the press. Adjust the handle so that all sides of the Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer is touching the heating element of the press.
  19. Once the press beeps, remove the mug. Allow it to cool, now remove the transfer.
