How Do You Paint A DIY Mug That Won’t Wash Off?
That’s Easy, with Cricut Infusible Ink Markers. All you need is sublimation paper, or laser paper, Cricut Infusible Ink Markers, and a little 1 to draw a design for this custom coffee mug.
Can I Use Any Kind Of Mugs With Infusible Ink?
No, you will need either a Cricut Mug blank or a mug that is specifically made for sublimation for this to work. Here are a few of my favorites.
The best part about when these mugs are done is that you don’t have to worry about hand washing them, these mugs have a special coating that with the help of high temperatures and the Infusible Ink, the final project is 100% dishwasher safe and won’t wash off.
These mugs won’t just last for a long time, they will last forever and because of that those DIY coffee mugs will be the receiver’s favorite mug.
Anyone in the family can do this project and flex their artistic skills. And handmade mugs make for the best mother’s day gifts, and father’s day too. Actually, these ceramic mugs are the perfect gift for many special occasions.
The whole process of this easy DIY project will take you about 30 minutes to complete. If you have a slow artist, then it may take a little longer time.
If you are a teacher, this is a great craft for the kids to do in class. It’s a cute way to show the parents how much the kids appreciate them.
Can I Use Infusible Ink Markers On A Black Mug?
You can, but it needs to be a specific type of black mug. You will have to get the color change mugs, so it will be black and then when you pour something hot in the color will change revealing the DIY coffee mug designs.
Can I Add My Favorite Quote To My DIY Mug?
If you are wanting to add quotes, I would recommend that you use your Cricut machine to cut the words out. Because you can not mirror the design pictures that don’t use words just work out better.
