Materials Needed For Your Cricut Door Round Sign
Indeed, one nice thing about this DIY project is that you only need a few materials.
Here are the materials you’ll need:
- Wood Round
- Vinyl (Brown, Red, Black, and Yellow)
- Bow (in Thanksgiving colors if you can find one)
- Twine or Command Strip (for hanging)
I recommend checking the Cricut website or Amazon when shopping for the materials. These are typically the two places I get most of my materials from.

Next, you’ll need the following tools to make your Thanksgiving sign.
- Cricut Joy
- Green Sticky Mat
- Scissors
- Weeding Tool
- Scraper
- Brayer (optional)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Paper cutter (if you don’t have Cricut Joy size vinyl)

Cricut Turkey Door Round
Learn how to make a round turkey door sign with a Cricut Joy machine following these step-by-step instructions.
Materials
- Wood round
- Vinyl
- Paper cutter (if you don't have Cricut Joy size vinyl)
- Bow
- Twine or Command Strip (for hanging)
Tools
- Cricut Joy
- Green sticky mat
- Scissors
- Weeding tool
- Scraper
- Brayer (optional)
- Hot glue gun
Instructions
- Cut the vinyl to fit the Cricut Joy's cutting size (4.5 inches wide max).
- Prepare the design in Cricut Design Space and adjust the size to fit your wood round (11.5 by 11.5 inches).
- Cut the design with the Cricut Joy, using the green sticky mat or the off-mat feature.
- Weed the excess vinyl from your designs.
- Use transfer tape to layer the vinyl pieces, starting with the backmost layer.
- Apply each layer carefully, using the scraper to ensure it sticks.
- Once all vinyl layers are applied, transfer the entire design onto the wood round.
- Attach the bow with a hot glue gun.
- Add a hanging mechanism, like twine or a Command Strip, to the back of the wood round.
- Hang or place your new door sign as desired.
